Which types of webcams are indexed by CamMap.net?
The webcam should meet the following requirements;

• the webcam should be located outside
• the image has to be of reasonable quality
• the image has to be refreshed at least once a day

Does the marker represent the exact location of the webcam?
In most cases the "error" will not be more than 100 feet. Sometimes we can only determine the place or neighborhood. In the information window this is indicated by "Location unknown" or "Exact location unknown". In this case we depend on you to give us more information. If you know the exact location of a webcam please tell us via the menu option "Submit webcam".

How do I determine the exact location of a webcam?
You can do this with the menu-option 'Submit webcam'

1. Try to find the street address of the webcam (usually this can be found on the website of the owner)
2. Zoom-in on Google maps (in 'map'-mode) and locate the street
3. Switch to 'Satellite'-mode and zoom-in further
4. Compare the camera image with the Google image and determine the location
5. Determine the GPS coordinates (by clicking on the map at the location)
